Biography

A native Californian painter, who has lived in France for 40 years, Dean Spille is perhaps more recognised for his work in animated films. He was the official background artist for all of the Charlie Brown and Peanuts films.

Dean is also a former professor of Art at the California State University, where he taught Graphic Design and Animation.

At the age of 87, he now devotes his time to painting.
